If you have ever considered getting into playing the guitar, then you would surely have noticed that there are many different types of guitars. Then on top of that, there are many different types of brand names, each specializing in each of the different styles of guitar! The choices available could very quickly become overwhelming. A simple, yet very effective solution would be to have a look at eko guitars at their available options.
Eko guitars are originally an Italian-based guitar manufacturer but have branches in other parts of the world too – including the UK and the USA. They concentrate mainly on professional-class guitars which they export. Eko Guitars supplies a wide variety of guitars including electric guitars, acoustic guitars, 12-string guitars, bass guitars and fretless guitars. This in combination with their outstanding quality is the reason anyone that’s confused about guitar choices, should consider getting an Eko guitar.
Eko guitars gained the bulk of its popularity in the 1960’s during the period’s “Rock ‘n Roll” Craze. It was during this period that they gained massive popularity with local guitar players and quickly became the largest guitar exporter in Europe, with all their guitars leaving from Recanati, Marche in Italy.
A large contribution to the success of their electric guitars of the 60’s was that they were normally highly decorated with pearl. They also boasted 3 or 4 pickups – many being the famous hum bucker pickups, and the pickup selection switch known as the “rocker switch”. But it was not only their electric guitars that were popular. Their acoustic guitars were also very popular in folk rock bands in the same period – especially their fretless acoustic bass.
Eko guitars were distributed in the USA through LoDuca brothers of Milwaukee Wisconsin. This was when they were producing guitars for Vox. In the UK, they were imported and distributed by Rose-Morris in London. The Eko guitars were also distributed down under in Australia and New Zealand, by a company called Rose Music. It was these Australian-distributed Eko’s that were also sometimes branded with the Rose Music house brand, called Eston.
